Selected Engagements
The following examples illustrate how Hudson Advisory approaches complex engagements.
Details have been kept general to respect client confidentiality.
Milestone Celebration
Private family | UK
The brief
A family marked a significant, multi-day celebration with 130 guests travelling from 3 countries. The celebration spanned 4 locations within their estate and fifteen suppliers. The principal wanted to host rather than manage.
Hudson's role
Client-side adviser from first brief to departure.
- Shaped the programme, including the pace of each day and the balance of set pieces and free time
- Assessed and managed all suppliers and kept them working to one plan
- Tracked timelines, dependencies and risks across all locations
The outcome
The celebration was delivered as the principal wanted - the family asked Dominic to advise on six further occasions over three years.
Private Client Retreat
Family Office Advisory | Central London
The brief
A two-day retreat for second- and third-generation principals and C-suite attendees, organised for a London-based family office advisory firm.
To develop a programme balancing relationship-building, substantive discussions and distinctive cultural and dining experiences.
Hudson's role
- Worked closely with the client's Managing Director to develop informal activities and an opening dinner.
- Coordinated operational arrangements for the main day's roundtables and keynote presentations, including catering, transport and accommodation.
- Proposed and arranged a private exhibition viewing at the Royal Academy of Arts, followed by an exclusive dinner.
The outcome
Encouraged meaningful interaction, strengthened existing relationships and created opportunities for new connections between attendees.
Following the success of the retreat, we were commissioned to deliver the programme again the following year.
International family office gathering | London
The brief
Following a referral from the above advisory client, Hudson was engaged by a US-based family office group hosting more than 100 principals and senior representatives for their global Family Office Round Table.
To develop a distinctive programme of high-end, quintessentially British cultural experiences for 40-50 guests, complementing the client's existing business arrangements.
Hudson's role
- Researched and costed options, presented recommendations to the client's board and refined the programme to meet its objectives.
- Coordinated private access, negotiations, dining and logistics across several prestigious London venues.
- Proposed and organised a private tour of Spencer House, and helped the client coordinate a visit to the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
- Arranged a private viewing of The Crown Jewels at the Tower of London, followed by dinner in The White Tower and the Ceremony of the Keys.
- Incorporated the client's invitation to St Paul's Cathedral, including a private tour, Evensong and hospitality in the Crypt, followed by a private dinner at Scott's, Mayfair.
The outcome
A bespoke cultural programme showcasing British heritage and hospitality, delivered through carefully coordinated experiences and end-to-end operational oversight.
