Hudson Advisory is led by Dominic Armstrong
I have spent nearly four decades in luxury hospitality, private experiences, and senior advisory work.
I began my career at Claridge's, The Connaught and The Savoy in London, and The Okura in Tokyo. After five years in hospitality positions in the UK, I moved into global executive search and, in 2001, founded a boutique, specialising in senior and board-level appointments across hospitality and leisure. Hudson Advisory was founded in 2019. Alongside that work, I collaborated with Lady Elizabeth Anson's Party Planners on private celebrations.
What that work has taught me
My career has never really been about events. It has always been about people: understanding what matters to a client, listening carefully, and making considered decisions where expectations are high and the details matter.
Executive search taught me to assess people rigorously, and I apply the same discipline to the specialists I recommend. Working with Lady Elizabeth reinforced my belief that good hospitality should feel personal and effortless to those taking part.
I have supported private clients, family offices and organisations across Europe, the United States, and Japan. The circumstances vary, but the principles do not: trust, discretion, preparation and calm judgement.
Hudson Advisory today
My role has moved from operational delivery towards independent, client-side advice. I help clients define what they want to achieve, research the options, identify the right specialists and bring the elements together. I work alongside principals, Chiefs of Staff, family offices and their advisers.
The most valuable work is often invisible. When a client can be fully present, confident that the arrangements are in hand, the work has done its job.
